Introduction.

great{with}talent (“GWT”) are a UK based business that provides a range of business applications that includes assessments and questionnaires (“Questionnaire”) for potential, existing or exiting employees (“Services”). Please see greatwithtalent.com for more information.

We are a data processor, this means we are contracted (and governed by all applicable laws) by the organisation (“Client”) who contacted you about the Questionnaire they wish you to complete. They are the data controller.

GWT cares deeply about your privacy. For this reason, we collect and process personal data only as it might be needed for us to deliver to you (“Candidate”) our Questionnaire and in accordance with requirements of the data controller and the Services.

Why you have been invited to complete this Questionnaire.

The data controller has established a legal basis on which to provide your information to one of more of our Services. We processed that information and sent communications on behalf of the organisation that you received.

If we have contacted you as a result of your details being disclosed to us by a Candidate using one of our Services (likely to be requests for employment references or 360 rater feedback) we confirm that we will use that information and any subsequent information you may submit to us in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

If you feel you have received these communications in error or wish to understand why you have been invited to participate then you should contact the data controller directly. Their contact details should be in the communications you received from us.

Types of information we collect.

The types of information we collect depends on the type of Questionnaire you are being asked to complete.

When you participate in any Questionnaire, we will ask you to provide responses that will constitute personal data. We categorise such data as follows:

  • Identification Data which means information such as your name, email address and other contact details;
  • Tracking Data - our applications for collecting Questionnaire responses may use Cookies to track Questionnaire completion and expire within 24 hours. You can visit our Cookie Policy. We also collect:
    • Your IP Address
    • Your Device and browser type/version for Services analysis and to help with support.


With the exception of Questionnaires about employment references or 360 rater feedback, we also collect the following data:

  • Questionnaire Data which means your responses in the Questionnaire, this may include information such as:
    • motives, talents, aptitudes, competencies, interests, values, well-being;
    • evaluating processes and your experiences in the workplace;
    • evaluating people personally or in the workplace (where you have their consent)
  • Research Data which means responses to questions about you and which will include information such as:
    • your gender;
    • your age;
    • your cultural background;
    • your qualifications;
    • your work experience; and
    • details regarding your employment, responsibilities and work.


Where a Questionnaire asks for Research Data, you will have the opportunity to refuse or omit to provide this information. Any such data you provide shall be processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice, the notices of the data controller and all applicable law.

How we utilise the information you provide.

We strongly believe in both minimising the data we collect and limiting its use and purpose to only that (1) for which we have been given permission, (2) as necessary to deliver the Services, or (3) as we might be required or permitted for legal compliance or other lawful purposes. These uses include:

  • identify your Questionnaire and assess your responses;
  • produce reports for our Client who has made the Questionnaire available to you.*


* If the Questionnaire is completed Anonymously (and we are very clear when it is) reports and/ or data are not provided to the Client in anyway that can identify you.


We may process Research Data for research purposes. We research responses to our Questionnaires in the light of areas such as gender, age and cultural background over the longer term; this is considered best practice and allows us to monitor our Questionnaires for fairness in use, for looking at wider trends and benchmarking.

The Research Data that we collect goes through a process of aggregation and anonymisation. Our research is then based on this anonymised and aggregated group level data only. The Research Data is not personally identifiable and is not disclosed to any Client or any third parties.

The reports and Services we provide to our Clients may be used by them for purposes which may include the selection and development of individuals in an employment or human resources context.

We may also provide a copy of the Questionnaire Data to our Clients for use by them for their own internal human resource management purposes.

Clients are entitled to use the personal information that we provide to them as part of our Services for their own purposes; however, such Clients are obliged to process such personal information in accordance with their own obligations under all applicable law, other data protection laws (as applicable) and in accordance with our Terms of Service. You will have rights with respect to the manner in which our Clients process such personal information provided by us to them.

How you can access, update or delete your data.

As we are the data processor such requests should be made to the Client who has the ability to access (where applicable), view (where applicable), update, delete or port your personal data (where available).

If you make a request to delete your personal data, the Client will remove your data from our Service and will be permanently deleted, other than in order to comply with applicable laws and regulations and as may otherwise be kept in routine backup copies made for disaster recovery and business continuity purposes (which are also deleted no later than 9 -12 months after data is deleted from an account).

How we secure your data.

We follow generally accepted standards to store and protect the personal data we collect, both during transmission and once received and stored, including utilisation of encryption where appropriate. Your data is never sold to third-parties. More information can be found in our Security Statement, which the Client has accepted.

Accepting this Privacy Notice.

We need to process your personal information to run the Services as requested the Client. By completing the Questionnaire you are confirming that you have read and understand this Privacy Notice including how and why we use your information. If you don’t want us to collect or process your personal information in the ways described in this Privacy Notice, you shouldn’t complete the Questionnaire.

Changes to this Privacy Notice.

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Notice at any time. The updated Privacy Notice will be published here and, where appropriate, notified to you by email. You should refer to the Privacy Notice from time to time in order to keep yourself up to date with regard to the way we process your personal information.

Data Protection Authority.

If you are completing a Questionnaire on behalf of a Client in the European Economic Area (EEA), UK or Switzerland then we maintain your personal data subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) or locally applicable laws. Your data is never transferred outside of the EEA, UK or Switzerland.
